Wilson Turned ONE!

I am a little late, but better late than never posting right?!? Oh, I cannot express my deep love for my little Wilmeister! He is ADORABLE! He is so sweet, he loves giving kisses, being tickled, laughing, riding his little bike, etc etc. His favorite time is bath time with Maddie. Unless you go outside, then his favorite is playing outside.

I have to share my favorite Wilson quirk... He grabs one of Maddie's purses, comes to find me, give me a kiss, walks to the door, blows more kisses, and then tries to open the door! It is so cute, I laugh every time. He fills our home with giggles and love. I love that he still snuggles when he is tired, and he "hums" to me at night time to remind me, "Mom, time to put me to bed, hum my lullaby!" I LOVE my little man!!! Without further adieu, here was his party to celebrate his birth!

Wilson's favorite gift/distraction: BALLOONS!!!

These kept him amused for a very long time, and he was happy as a little clam! Then it was time to open gifts... but really he just loved the tissue paper!

Where is Wilson? Digging in the bag! See him?

Such a cute Neal Jr!
Then we got on with the CAKE! Thank you Sue for buying the Trophy Cupcakes and saving us all from using an oven in 80+ degree weather! (Now before you all go crazy, in Washington, without AC, this is HOT in a house!)
holding balloon, check, clothes off, check, legs crossed, check!

"Oh! This is delicious!"

Happy birthday little man!!! You are so cute!!!

Water, Water, Water!!!

Bring on the AWESOME weather Seattle!!! We have been so spoiled this summer, here are a few pictures of our summer adventures with the sun and water. Our kids LOVE the water, and they cry when we take them out. Maddie is an awesome "rower" and she sings, "row, row, row, your boat" and it is so cute! Good thing she has a cool dad who lets her row, row, row her boat with him.

This weather has been so GREAT! I am so excited this weekend will be in the 80's whoot whoot!!

Maddie Mae turned TWO!

Our sweet little Maddie turned two this May. She is our little sunshine. She wakes up with a big smile, she runs into rooms squealing with delight, and she dances like a freak. I love it. She sings her ABC's, the Little Einsteins intro song, Old McDonald, Wheels on the Bus, etc etc. It is so stinking cute!! She loves going to nursery each Sunday mostly because she gets to sing. She has been singing Book of Mormon stories and Popcorn popping for a while now, and every time she does I SMILE from ear to ear and giggle. She does all the hand motions, and sings with such vigor. It is so cute! She loves Curious George, and Caillou.

She is a rough and tumble little girl, who has no fear. She loves to swing, run, and swim. She loves to give hugs and kisses. She loves chasing Wilson and having him chase her, they scream and run all over the house laughing hysterically. We made sure her party was very girly... for my rough and tumble girly girl!! We had a waffle bar with every berry you could imagine, as well as individual strawberry cheesecakes.

This is the only picture I have of her.. and she is opening her gifts with her leg in a cast. Poor girl. She had a blast with all the family, and of course all the berries she could eat. We love our little 2 year old. Two is such a fun age, and Maddie and her sass make it even more fun!

Maddie's First Broken Bone :)

I never thought she should actually be slowed down... but she can! All she needs is a little cast and a sore leg. Poor girl. She jumped out of her crib (which she does every day multiple times a day) and this time she landed badly, there were lots of tears... and then dad got to work figuring out "what hurts." It appears to be her right foot. So I make sure I watch her all morning, and all morning she refused to walk on her right foot. I didn't want to overreact with her, but after a few hours, and a very agitated little girl I made the decision to call my good friend Megan to see if she could watch Wilson for me. I got the kids ready, and I was still second guessing my decision, but as soon as I put her shoes on she SCREAMED, and SCREAMED. It was so sad!
To make matters worse, she thought I wouldn't take her "bye bye" if she took her shoes off, so she screamed, I told her to take her shoes off while I got Wilson ready and she cried, "No Mama! Maddie Bye Bye!" She thought if she took her shoes off I wouldn't take her with me... poor Maddie!! Here are some pictures of our adventure. The radiologist found a green stick fracture, and a spur on her heel. He thought it was developmental, and our ER doctor said she thought it was abnormal, and wanted to have us see our family doctor, do another round of X-rays and check for more calcium deposits on the fracture. If they find more calcium on the next X-ray she gets a hard cast... Yuck!

Stuck!! At least that is what she kept telling us...
Still looking cute with her hair all did

That's right, Diva style!
While Maddie and I were off at waiting patiently at the ER, Wilson happily slept for almost 3 hours at Megan's house. When he awoke, he had a FRIEND!! These pictures are priceless, and every time I see them I laugh out loud!! Here are the adventures of Wilson and Sam!!

Update on Maddie:
We had to have a second round of X-rays, and we are STILL waiting for the results to see if she needs a hard cast. We took her out of the soft cast, after her hours of screaming... we gave in. But she seemed fine! She was running, jumping, twirling... and it will look fine, but if she just walks she still favors her left foot, and hardly touches her right foot. We will find out more tomorrow. :) I am just really hoping she doesn't need a cast, because I will be in the Philippines when it is time to take the cast off!! Crazy!
